The Divided Region: Audiobook Bundle

This is a great series, the story is captivating and carries that captivation thru every book. Characters are the kind you are invested in from the start and keep you believing in the story and them. I highly recommend the series, you’ll love it!

I came across this author and his book series Exiled and fell in love with the story. It has a classic fantasy feel without overly romantic or modern "systems" a unique though familiar magic system and real feeling and relatable characters. A protagonist who's being personality and power are grounded and realistic creating an immersive story that has the feel of dark fantasy. Brutal action sequences and a compelling story of rebellion overthrowing a upcoming tyrant king and battling an ancient evil. I'm a big fan of this book and I'd love to recommend it to any fantasy reader who needs a break from modern litrpg fantasy and power lvl tropes. I found it a very refreshing read.

Really like the writing here - no try-hard fancy word-play, doesn't elaborately describe characters and scenes, leaving something for the imagination to chew on. Good pacing as well. It's not a first-person snark-fest emotional character study - there is action and a plot. You avoid all the things that annoy me about modern SF/Fantasy writing. Keep it up and I may have hope for this genre after all. Everyone wanting to write should take some lessons from this author.

I listened to the whole thing today, and I can say with pleasure that it is REALLY good! Not too action-packed (I don't really like when an author has no idea how to develop the story, so they just push crazy stunts into the gaps), and with a really good balance of moral dilemmas and a few smirks here and there.
